This recording was done with a DAT and a noname microphone to test the acoustic situation in a hudge industrial building in Essen, Germany.
20 - 30 years ago in this space - some floors high - coal was delivered into the Kokerei Zollverein (cocking plant).
What a beautiful reverb! I walked over 3 floors when I did this recording. The recorder was placed in the middle of the Kokerei.
Some month later I did an acoustic test with 8 microphones and a multitrack recorder. More soundfiles soon.
